In a Presidential Proclamation issued on February 1, 2021, the White House revoked Presidential Proclamation 10139, “Adjusting Imports of Aluminum Into the United States”.

In Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #46027083, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) stated that the new Proclamation “revokes Presidential Proclamation 10139 (signed January 19, 2021) which subjected United Arab Emirates (UAE) imports of aluminum to absolute quota limits and exempted them from Section 232 duties.”

According to the Proclamation and the CSMS, imports of aluminum from the UAE will continue to be subject to existing 232 duty rates.
