President Trump Declares December 24th a Federal Holiday

On December 11, 2020, U.S. President Trump issued Executive Order (EO) Providing for the Closing of Executive Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government on December 24, 2020.  On December 15, 2020, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #45169649 to advise on the implementing procedures for the federal holiday.  Any entry summaries designated for statement on December 24th scheduled prior to the announcement will be paid on December 24th.  Any entry summaries not yet on statement, that would be intended forDecember 24th, may be moved to December 28th for duty payment.
