US Customs and Border Protections Updates the Harmonized Tariff Schedule

On October 19, 2017, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #17-000664 announcing a Harmonized System Update (HSU) 1707.

The update “contains 27,291 ABI records and 5,164 harmonized tariff records,” including modifications by the Agriculture Marking Service (AMS) regarding the assessment of cotton fees, as well as changes to Participating Government Agency (PGA) indicators.
