Next COAC Meeting Scheduled for December 16, 2020

On November 25, 2020, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced in a Federal Register Notice (FRN) the upcoming meeting of the Commercial Operations Advisory Committee (COAC), to be held remotely via webinar on December 16, 2020.

According to the notice, the COAC meeting will include updates on the following working groups:

  • Intelligent Enforcement Subcommittee: Intellectual Property Rights, Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD), Bond, and Forced Labor Working Groups;
  • The Secure Trade Lanes Subcommittee: Trusted Trader, Export Modernization, In-Bond, and Remote and Autonomous Cargo Processing Working Groups;
  • The Next Generation Facilitation Subcommittee: One U.S. Government and Emerging Technologies Working Groups; and
  • The Rapid Response Subcommittee: Broker Exam Modernization Working Group.

The COAC advises the Secretary of Homeland Security, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on the commercial operations of CBP and other related Department functions.
