On July 20, 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published a “Best Practices Framework” for the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program. The framework centers on meeting five requirements:
- “Senior Management Support;
- The measure is innovative for the Member’s business model/size;
- Documented process;
- System of Checks and Balances; [and]
- Evidence of Implementation”
