CBP Publishes CTPAT Best Practices Framework

On July 20, 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published a “Best Practices Framework” for the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program. The framework centers on meeting five requirements:

  1. “Senior Management Support;
  2. The measure is innovative for the Member’s business model/size;
  3. Documented process;
  4. System of Checks and Balances; [and]
  5. Evidence of Implementation”
