CBP Proposes HTS Classification Change for Certain Women’s Tops

On October 12, 2022, in a notice, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) proposed a change in HTS classification for certain women’s tops currently classified under HTS 6211.42.10. CBP is proposing the revocation of New York Ruling Letter (NY) N324185 to instead classify the tops under heading 6206. CBP is also proposing the revocation of “any treatment previously accorded by CBP to substantially identical transactions.”

CBP is seeking comments on the proposed revocations through November 11, 2022.
