On April 26, 2023, in a press release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the modification of its Withhold Release Order against “a group of companies jointly known as Smart Glove” in Malaysia. Effective immediately, CBP “will allow Smart Glove shipments to enter U.S. commerce.” According to the press release, the modification is based on evidence that Smart Glove’s products are no longer produced using forced labor.
