On August 17, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #52984667, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a notice clarifying the capabilities of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal Forms. According to the CSMS, “the legacy ACE Portal Forms capability and the new ACE Forms Modernization Application were designed to deliver electronic CBP Forms 28, 29, and 4647s to importer ACE Portal accounts only and not to broker ACE portal accounts.” The CSMS outlines a series of steps that importers should take if they want their broker to receive courtesy copies of their forms via email.
