CBP Issues Guidance on COVID-19 Section 301 Exclusion Extensions

On June 1, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #52055728, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued guidance on the extensions of 81 Section 301 medical product exclusions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The extensions were announced by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) on May 27, 2022. The extensions will be valid through November 30, 2022.

CBP directs additional questions on Section 301 entry filing requirements to TradeRemedy@cbp.dhs.gov.
