CBP Deploys Aluminum Import License Requirement

On June 28, 2021, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #48619526, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the deployment of Aluminum Import Monitoring and Analysis System (AIM) enhancements supporting the new requirement for an import license for certain aluminum products from the Department of Commerce (DOC)/ International Trade Administration (ITA).

Licenses can be obtained online and are required effective June 28, 2021.
