CBP Announces Launch of DIS Pilot for Used Self-Propelled Vehicle Exports

On December 16, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #54351690, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the deployment of the Document Imaging System (DIS) Pilot for Used Self-Propelled Vehicles Export Document Submission. The pilot will begin on January 9, 2023, and it will be open to all Modes of Transportation and to all Ports of Export. According to the CSMS, “Interested parties should contact their local CBP vehicle export processing office and express their interest and intent to participate in the DIS pilot. Approval to participate in the pilot is at the discretion of the Port Director at the port from which parties intend to export the vehicle.”
