CBP Announces Changes to Forms 28, 29, and 4647

On January 20, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #50775619, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced upcoming changes to the Trade User Responses to CBP Forms 28, 29, and 4647. CBP is making changes to “the electronic process for reviewing entry summaries.” Most changes affect only CBP, but until the new forms application is completed, trade users will not be able to submit form responses in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) Portal. Electronic responses must go through the Document Imaging Service (DIS) instead. The changes will take place on January 29, 2022. Completion of the new ACE forms application is expected in April 2022, and electronic responses will be submissible through the Portal again at that time.
