CBP Announces Automation of Form 6051D for Detentions of Cargo Filed in ACE

On April 21, 2023, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #55989699, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the automation of Customs Form (CF) 6051D Detentions of Cargo Filed in ACE (Automated Commercial Environment). According to the CSMS, “This enhancement will give importers the ability to view, search, and respond to CBP Form 6051D using the ACE Forms application accessible through the ACE Secure Data Portal (ACE Portal).” This enhancement includes Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) detentions. The automation will be deployed on May 20, 2023.
