On January 15, 2021, in a press release, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued the findings from the Section 301 investigation of “Vietnam’s acts, policies, and practices related to currency valuation” and concluded that these actions are “unreasonable and burden or restrict U.S. commerce.”

USTR published a comprehensive report that includes the evidence, consultations, and findings.

USTR is not taking action on the findings at this time but will “evaluate all available options.”
