On December 29, 2020, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) published a notice in the Federal Register to “extend certain product exclusions and to make further modifications to remove Section 301 duties from additional medical-care products to address COVID-19.”

The extended exclusions and modifications are available for any products that are included in the notice’s annexes, the scope of which is “governed by the scope of the ten-digit Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) subheadings and product descriptions’.

The existing exclusions will be extended through March 31, 2021, and the additional exclusions introduced in this notice will apply from January 1, 2021 through March 31, 2021.
