USTR Extends Certain COVID-19 Related Section 301 Exclusions

On March 5, 2021, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) issued a notice extending specific COVID-19 related Section 301 exclusions. These exclusions were originally outlined in a December 2020 notice and valid through March 31, 2021.

Extended exclusions cover 99 product descriptions including:

  • Certain blood pressure monitors;
  • Specific x-ray parts; and
  • Certain anesthesia masks.

These exclusions will be valid through September 30, 2021. They can be claimed under 9903.88.62, 9903.88.63, 9903.88.64, and 9903.88.65. U.S. Customs and Border Protection will issue entry guidance and implementation details.
