In a press release on August 1, 2023, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) announced the publication of the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force’s (FLETF) updated Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) strategy. According to the press release, the updated strategy highlights “enforcement of the UFLPA’s rebuttable presumption [and] an expanded UFLPA entity list.”

The FLETF is chaired by the Department of Homeland Security and its member agencies include USTR, and the Departments of Labor, State, Treasury, Justice, and Commerce.
