US and UK Announce Cooperative Framework for Large Civil Aircraft

On June 17, 2021, in a joint statement, the United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK) announced the establishment of a cooperative framework to address the large civil aircraft disputes. The framework includes a working group to address disagreements and to develop principles and action plans. Research and development funding is also included in the framework as well as additional supports for analysis and cooperation.

Both parties will also suspend tariff countermeasures for 5 years.
