On September 5, 2017 U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced Cargo System Messaging Service (CSMS) #17-000535 announcing multiple port closures for September 5, 2017 due to Hurricane Harvey.
The below Texas ports will be temporarily suspended until at least September 5, 2017:
- Port Arthur – 2101
- Houston Seaport - 5301
- Houston Airport – 5309
According to the CSMS, “CBP is extending an additional day, without penalty, for any entry summaries and payment of duties that will be due on September 5, 2017” for these ports.
