U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Amends Regulations on Somalia Sanctions

On April 28, 2021, the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control(OFAC) issued a final rule amending the Somalia Sanctions Regulations and “reissuing them in their entirety.”

This final rule replaces regulations that were previously published and implements two existing Somalia-related Executive Orders. It also includes information on general licenses, policy decisions on licensing, and additional interpretative guidance.
