Trade Advisory Committee Embraces Regulatory Reform at D.C. Meeting

On October 3, 2018, the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC) met in Washington D.C. to present recommendations to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on a variety of trade matters.

A couple of the key recommendations included modernizing Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) regulations. COAC also discussed exploring emerging technologies, such as blockchain technology.

The next COAC meeting will be held in Laredo, Texas, in December 2018.
