Effective July 24, 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will require the use of the Foreign Supplier Verification Program (FSVP) importer’s Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number on imports of foods subject to the FSVP regulation. This number must be submitted electronically with the customs entry. The use of “UNK” as an entity identification in place of the DUNS number will no longer be accepted.
