Public Comments Requested for Section 232 Investigation of Aircraft and Parts

In a Federal Register Notice (FRN) published on May 13, 2025, the Department of Commerce is requesting public comments on its Section 232 investigation on the “national security of imports of commercial aircraft and jet engines, and parts for commercial aircraft and jet engines.”

The FRN outlines the specific criteria for feedback that the government is seeking for its investigation. The notices provide instructions on how to submit public or “business confidential” comments for these investigations.

Comments for this investigation must be submitted to the federal rulemaking portal at www.regulations.gov by June 3, 2025.
