OFAC Issues Iran General License D-2 and FAQs

On September 23, 2022, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced the issuance of Iran General License D-2. OFAC also updated three Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) pertaining to the Iran-related sanctions. General License D-2 pertains to “Certain Services, Software, and Hardware Incident to Communications.” The three FAQs also pertain to this license.
