NCSD Announces May 2024 Webinar Schedule

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on April 9, 2024, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) National Commodity Specialist Division (NCSD) announced the schedule for May 2024’s commodity-specific webinars.

Each webinar will begin at 1:30 p.m. ET and will last approximately an hour. The May 2024 webinar schedule consists of the following topics:

  • Wednesday, May 1: Underwear: Risky Business
  • Thursday, May 2: All You Ever Wanted to Know About Classifying Furniture: Heading 9403
  • Wednesday, May 15: Heading 8544: Conducting a Review of Electrical Wire and Cable
  • Thursday, May 16: Biodegradable Tableware and Kitchenware of Heading 3924
  • Tuesday, May 21: The Key to Classifying Locks of Heading 8301
  • Wednesday, May 22: Heading 8424: Devices for Projecting, Dispersing or Spraying
  • Wednesday, May 29: Explosives, Pyrotechnics, and Combustibles of Chapter 36
