Mexico Publishes Modifications to Free Trade Agreement with Uruguay

On July 9, 2021, in two Diario Oficial notices, Mexico published amendments to the Free Trade Agreement between Mexico and Uruguay. The first publication contains a Decree with several modifications in the areas of market access and rules of origin, as well as the addition of statistical breakouts and a beef quota. The second publications contains the quota details for originating beef classified in six statistical breakouts of fresh, refrigerated, or frozen beef. Both publications entered into force on July 9, 2021.
