FDA Reminds Trade of “No Public Status Available” Message in ITACS

In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on May 9, 2024, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reminded the trade of the meaning of the “no public status available” line-level message in the FDA’s Import Trade Auxiliary Communication System (ITACS).

The “no public status available” message is used in two different circumstances:

  1. When the local FDA office has yet to perform its initial review and
  2. In conjunction with the red text, “FDA entry status information is not available pending receipt of Conveyance Arrival Notification.” In this usage, the FDA is communicating that it has not received the notification from U.S. Customs and Border Protection that the cargo has arrived for either a truck or air shipment.

Trade users can contact ITACS support at ITACSSupport@fda.hhs.gov with any questions about the “no public status available” message.
