European Commission Announces Countermeasures for Certain US Origin Goods

On November 9, 2020, the European Commission issued a press release announcing the publication of Regulation 2020/1646. This regulation outlines countermeasures approved by the World Trade Organization (WTO) in a Dispute Settlement Body arbitration in April 2019.

The countermeasures include additional ad valorem duties of 15% for 5 Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes and 25% for 134 CN codes.

These additional duties are effective November 10, 2020.
