EU to Impose Additional Duty on Certain Goods of US Origin

On June 1, 2021, the second stage of additional customs duties on certain goods originating in the United States (US) and imported into the European Union (EU) goes into effect.  The additional ad valorem customs duty rates of 10%, 25%, 35%, and 50% on selected products are imposed in retaliation to safeguard measures taken by the US in the form of tariff increases on imports of certain steel and aluminum products of EU origin.
