EU Expands Covid-19-Related Humanitarian Aid Guidance

On November 16, 2020, in a press release, the European Commission announced the expansion of the guidance on COVID-19-related humanitarian aid. The expansion pertains to how this aid can be provided to countries and areas that are subject to European Union (EU) restrictive measures, and it now includes a standalone chapter on Nicaragua.

The guidance outlines responsibilities and processes for complying with EU sanctions when providing aid to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Other chapters address Syria, Iran, and Venezuela.
