EPA issues Final Rule on TSCA Reporting and Recordkeeping Requirements for Certain Substances

On October 11, 2023, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published a final rule in the Federal Register on reporting and recordkeeping requirements for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).

The EPA requires persons who have imported, manufacture, or manufactured PFAS since January 1, 2011, to submit information to the agency regarding its “uses, production volumes, byproducts, disposal, exposures, and existing information on environmental or health effects.”The final rule is effective starting November 13, 2023
