EPA Announces Webinar on Hydrofluorocarbons under AIM Act

On December 3, 2021, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #50274160, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced an upcoming webinar to “provide information about importing hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), including upcoming filing requirements in [the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE)].” The webinar will be December 9, 2021, at 2:00pm EST.

Production of HFCs will be phased down by 85 percent by 2036 according to the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act. New import requirements related to the phase down will begin on January 1, 2022.
