On July 9, 2021, in Executive Decree 43015-COMEX-H, Costa Rica published the Council of Ministers of Economic and Trade of Central America’s (COMIECO) re-export certification procedures for the Central American Economic Integration Treaty. The procedures include filing instructions as well as information on the format and the issuing of the certificates. The certificates are applicable for goods that have entered into the territory of a third country and later re-exported to another party of the agreement when the goods have been under customs control, such as a free trade zone or customs depot. The procedures are applicable for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The Ruling will enter into force on August 10, 2021, and will be published by all member parties.
