Commerce Announces New Framework with Taiwan

On December 6, 2021, in a press release, the US Department of Commerce announced a new framework with Taiwan. The Technology Trade and Investment Collaboration (TTIC) Framework aims “to develop commercial programs and explore actions to strengthen critical supply chains.” The press release cites semiconductor supply chains as an are of particular interest. The first meeting of the TTIC is expected “in the coming months.”
