CBP Updates USMCA Interim Implementation Instructions

On June 16, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #43062320, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) released updated Interim Implementation Instructions for the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA).  These instructions replace those previously issued on April 20, 2020, and they are meant to be informational and provide early guidance on the new requirements under USMCA.

The Final Implementing Instructions will be released prior to the July 1, 2020 entry into force date and will include additional details on the entry, compliance, and other requirements for claiming preferential treatment under USMCA.
