On June 1, 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) updated its available resources on forced labor. CBP’s Forced Labor website includes a variety of resources aimed at preventing forced labor. It notes that “the importation of merchandise mined, produced or manufactured, wholly or in part, in any foreign country by forced or indentured labor – including forced child labor” is prohibited. Included in the resources are a link for reporting allegations, information on enforcement actions and Withhold Release Orders, and frequently asked questions.
