On February 22, 2019, U.S. Customs and Border Protections (CBP) updated the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) guidelines with the new Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) certification requirements for composite wood products.

According to Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #19-000082, the changes address:

  • Sample message sets;

  • Allowable disclaim codes; and

  • The TSCA certification.

Additionally, approximately 450 tariff codes will flag with EP7 (TSCA certification may be required) beginning March 22, 2019.
