On March 25, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published a press release announcing the use of the "Pay.gov" website for payment of duties, taxes, and fees on merchandise imported into the U.S. Virgin Islands (USVI).

According to the press release, payments for formal entries will have the ability to be made via Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) debit from a U.S. bank account, and "payment data will be synchronized with the Automated Commercial Environment [ACE] in real time."

Importers, brokers, and service providers should be able to make payments via Pay.gov "in upcoming months."

CBP will also require carriers to submit cargo manifests electronically via ACE and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
