CBP Seeks COAC Applicants

On May 5, 2023, in a Federal Register Notice (FRN), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a request for applicants for appointment to the Commercial Customs Operations Advisory Committee (COAC). According to the FRN, “The COAC provides advice and makes recommendations to the Secretaries of the Department of the Treasury (Treasury) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on all matters involving the commercial operations of CBP and related functions.” Members are selected from the trade and transportation communities to represent the interests of those affected by CBP operations.

Applications can be submitted through June 5, 2023. Details on the application and membership requirements can be found in the FRN here:
