In a Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) bulletin published on May 1, 2026, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) wanted to remind the trade that the trade account owners can self-manage user reactivations in the Automated Commercial Environment Secure Data Portal (ACE Portal).

Trade account owners and proxy trade account owners can do the following to reactivate their account users:

  1. Log into the ACE Portal as the trade account owner.
  2. Select the “tools” tabs.
  3. Select the name of the user you want to reactivate.
  4. Click the “reactivate” button
  5. Have the reactivated user confirm access by logging into the ACE Porta.
