On July 24, 2018, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) posted a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on Section 301 trade remedies.

CBP breaks up the FAQ into three sections: general, bonds, and harmonized tariff questions. In these sections, CBP provides answers on such topics as:

  • Drawback;

  • Foreign Trade Zones;

  • Section 321;

  • Product exclusions;

  • Temporary Importation Bonds;

  • Sets packaged for retail sale;

  • Chapter 98.

CBP directs any further inquiries to the U.S. Trade Representative’s (USTR) Notice of Action regarding Section 301; any questions related to Section 301 entry filing requirements should be emailed to traderemedy@cbp.dhs.gov.
