CBP Publishes Procedures and Requirements on Implementing CBMA

On April 2, 2019, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published the 2019 procedures and requirements for importations made during the 2019 Calendar year under the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act of 2017 (CBMA). The item was published in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #19-000172.

CSMS #19-000172 covers subjects such as:

  • Identifying entries subject to CBMA;

  • CBP processing of 2019 CBMA claims;

  • Completing CBMA claims;

  • How to upload CBMA spreadsheets to CBP’s Document Imaging System.

CBP directs additional questions to CBMA@cbp.dhs.gov and encourages trade members to visit CBP’s CBMA webpage.
