CBP Publishes FAQs for Exports of Personal Protective Equipment

On April 27, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #42506108, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) published Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for exports of personal protective equipment (PPE).  CBP addressed operational questions on holds and shipment processing, including topics such as:

  • Letter of Attestation submission;
  • Shipments of PPE to Canada; and
  • CBP shipment identification and hold processes.
