CBP Publishes EEI Hold and Hold Release Message FAQs

On August 23, 2023, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #57430632, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced the publication of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on the Electronic Export Information (EEI) Hold and Hold Release messages deployed in May 2023. The messages allow CBP Officers the option to notify filers of EEI holds and releases via the Electronic Data Interface (EDI).
