On February 6, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #41572223, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) clarified an earlier CSMS #41527274 announcing the opening of the tariff rate quota for Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic (CSPV) cells, large residential washing machines and parts of washing machines Section 201 of the Trade Act of 1974.

The quota period began February 7, 2020 at 8:30am EST.  All entries submitted prior to the opening were counted in the first opening, with entries being prorated if the totals exceeded the limit.

Quota Bulletin QB 20-507 2020 Solar Cells/Modules and QB 20-505 2020 Large Residential Washers and Covered Parts outline the tariff rates and quantity thresholds through February 7, 2021.
