On August 5, 2020, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #43578320, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) opened registration for the October 2020 Customs Broker License Examination.

The exam will be on October 8, 2020, and it will be held in two sessions, one at 8:30am and one at 1:30pm local time. The seating will be limited. People will be admitted on a first-come, first-serve basis following coronavirus precautions. Registration will be open until September 8, 2020.
