CBP Issues Withhold Release Order against Central Romana Corporation Limited

On November 23, 2022, in a press release, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a Withhold Release Order (WRO) against “raw sugar and sugar-based products produced in the Dominican Republic by Central Romana Corporation Limited (Central Romana).”  

The WRO was issued for forced labor concerns.

CBP will detain these products at all U.S. ports of entry effective immediately.
