CBP Issues Reminder on March 18th UFLPA Region Alert Deployment

On March 16, 2023, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #55516167, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a reminder that the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) region alert enhancement will be deployed to the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE). The alert will “provide an early notification to importers and their representative of goods that may have been produced in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (Xinjiang or XUAR) and may be excluded from importation into the United States.” The alert will be deployed on March 18, 2023. CBP will hold a post-deployment support call on March 21, 2023, at 3:00pm ET.
