CBP Issues Refined and Raw Sugar Quotas for FY 2022

On September 17, 2021, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #49417019 and #49416872, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 quota levels for refined sugar, specialty sugar, and raw cane sugar. The total in-quota aggregate quantities for raw cane sugar are broken out by country in the Quota Bulletin. The refined and specialty sugar limit is 7,090,000kg with country-specific limits for Canada and Mexico per the Quota Bulletin.

The quota period begins on October 1, 2021. According to the Quota Bulletin, the quota for refined sugar is expected to oversubscribe at opening moment.
