CBP Issues Guidance on Temporary Duty-Free Treatment of Infant Formula

On July 22, 2022, in Cargo Systems Messaging Service (CSMS) #52739058, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued guidance on the temporary duty-free treatment of infant formula signed into law in HR 8351, The Formula Act. Duties on imports of certain infant formula products are temporarily suspended for products entered or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption from July 22, 2022, through December 31, 2022. CBP has assigned four Ch. 99 tariff numbers to be entered in conjunction with the Ch. 19 or Ch. 21 tariffs for the products.
